A second season of the hit show “Scream Queens” is coming out Sept. 20th. The show is a comedy thriller that is based around a group of sorority sisters who are slowly killed off one by one until eventually there are only a few girls left. In the finale you find out who the killer is, and their motive.

Most people thought that after the first season the show would be over because the first seasons finale was quite conclusive, but Fox recently decided that they would do another season. In an interview Fox said, “SCREAM QUEENS is this season’s No. 1 new comedy among Adults 18-34, the No. 1 new series on VOD and the No. 1 series in social media.”

The show is making a comeback because many viewers enjoyed the comedy/horror aspects of it, and are excited for a second season.

In the promos viewers found out that this season will take place in a hospital unlike last season which took place on a college campus. There are six characters from the former season in the promos , played by Emma Roberts, Lea Michele, Jamie Lee Curtis, Keke Palmer, Abigail Breslin, Billie Catherine Lourd, and two new characters  who will be portrayed by Taylor Lautner and John Stamos. Most people are excited for this because it’s fun to see change in character development and of course, if they will die! Viewers are also excited because this season is said to be darker than the last one.

“I think it’ll be dark. I think it’s going to be very dark,” said star Jamie Lee Curtis in an interview with E!. Although the last season was classified as horror and comedy, the majority of the show was comedy. Even though this was one of the reasons that it was very highly rated last year, this year’s show might be more successful drawing those who like horror more. I am personally excited to see the new characters and how they improve the show.
