ASPEN — During the winter, SoulCycle will be pedaling its way into Aspen’s heart. From Dec. 22 to Jan. 2, Aspen locals and tourists will have a chance to be a part of this intense workout program.

SoulCycle is a 45 minute full-body workout which allows people to burn anywhere from 400 to 700 calories. It has a reputation for giving unique experiences, leaving you craving more. The instructors, who are called “rockstars,” help lead everyone through an inspirational, meditative fitness experience, completely in the dark. The darkness helps people ride together to the rhythm as an insync group.

SoulCycle is not only known for helping the body, but for helping the mind and soul. The workout is supposed to relieve stress and let the outside world melt away. The website say, “It will let you connect to yourself in a deeper meaning, will be a therapy for your life and body, and a cardio party on a bike.”

The trainers explain that emotions are welcome at the SoulCycle workout. They encourage laughing, crying, and emotional growth as sweat drips down your body. The trainers say that they hope to see the “real you.” Whatever you want to be, a warrior, a rockstar, an athlete, a model, all is welcomed. Motivation will be given to you by yelling trainers as they dance along to the music that blasts through the air showing their multitasking skills. Each trainer has their own playlist, so whether you are into classic rock or modern music, they will have it. The point is to enjoy the experience, be yourself as you see you and to let go of all the stress wracking your body.

This exclusive experience will be taking over the old Boogie’s building at 534 East Cooper Ave. in Aspen. The workouts will be held five times throughout the day.
