The anticipation for Halloween night was especially spooky with the release of the Horror/Thriller Halloween movie.

Halloween the movie was suspenseful and horrifying, capturing the spookiness of Halloween’s darkness. It mesmerized the audience with its plot that follows the storyline of the previous Halloween movies. Furthermore, it follows the story of Michael Myers and his obsession with killing.

Michael Myers plays a deranged serial killer who escapes from a mental hospital as he is being transferred to a high-security prison. He was put in this hospital in the previous movie for a specialized doctor to study his brain. He was trying to find his motivation to kill people. Eventually, he needed to be sent to an actual prison once the Doctor ended his case-study.

Unfortunately, this was a risky move. His escape brings an innumerable gory killings. The Mother of Michael Myers had been fearing his escape for years, knowing he wanted revenge on his family for imprisoning him. He sets out on a journey to kill his mother. With this, the movie incorporates the classic jump scares and creepy music to blend into the story of Michael Myers, making it a successful horror film.

If you were expecting to see a vulgar horror movie that you would have to excuse yourself from, it showed Myers character in different lights rather than just a scary psycho.

Gordon Green, the director, continued the Halloween series while appropriately following the classic chaotic scenes that are incorporated into the past movies as well. Although I cringed left and right at the utterly horrifying moments of this movie, it was very well produced, and very well written. This film is a must see. Find out what happens to the Myers family!
