Trump’s Anger, Racism, Sexism Not Right for our Country
When I heard that Donald Trump was running for president in the 2016 election I didn’t take much notice of it. As a high school student, I have never been up to date on the latest news, but as a senior and about to head off into reality, it is becoming more important to think about certain issues in our world today.
I have always known of Trump as a controversial developer and Republican. Living in Chicago for most of my life, I would take notice of the Trump Tower, but besides this I had no recollection of who this guy really is. Since Trump announced that he was running, I have asked myself these two questions: who is he as a person and what does he have in store for us as a society? After some research, it has become clear that in my eyes he is just a doof. As a person, Trump is far from decent. In fact, he could possibly be an evil alien from another planet. Getting more involved with Trump and his views, I realized that he is very similar to Adolf Hitler. Yes, I said Hitler, and yes our next president could possibly be as dictative and radically insane as the guy with the bushy mustache.
Some of you may be questioning my opinion, but the media has also considered this idea on Hitler and Trump being similar.
There are two distinctive reasons why they are so alike. One is that they both have a set idea for an ideal society and are both racists towards certain races. Hitler mostly believed in eliminating the Jews from society. Trump had shown bias towards many races such as Muslims and women. The next reason is that their physical appearance is mysteriously similar.
Most of us know that when Hitler ruled Germany his main goal was to erase the Jews from society. The Jews didn’t fit his “perfect” mold. So, he used intimidation and fear to eliminate the people that weren’t good enough for him. Similarly, Trump has shown hatred towards many races in the US. On Fox News The Kelly Files, a focus group looked at recent speech where Trump was asked about Obama being a Muslim, and in response he ignored the question and didn’t take on the premise of the question. When Trump was put on the spot he was lost and unprepared. He also didn’t stand up for Obama and just agreed that Muslims were a “problem” that we needed to get rid of. This shows a lot about Trump’s character and who he is an individual. Trump is also extremely rude to women. Throughout the years in different interviews he has shown exactly how he feels about women. In an interview with Esquire he said some things that in my opinion he should have just left alone.
Trump said, “You know, it doesn’t really matter what [the media] write as long as you’ve got a young and beautiful piece of ass.”
Just from this statement you can tell exactly how Trump sees women as nothing more than a piece ass and a pretty face. I am stunned how straightforward he is being. It seems like he doesn’t care about anyone. The fact that he speaks his mind and says what he wants even if it’s harsh or degrading really scares me and makes me question who this guy really is.
If you look at the picture you can clearly get a good representation of how much anger both Hitler and Trump possess. I don’t understand how one could gain that much hate. In my opinion, based on this photo, the doof with bad haircut and the guy with bushy mustache would get along great if Hitler were still alive. On the website Business Insider Trump’s ex-wife stated that Trump kept a copy of Hitler’s My New Order under his bed to read Hitler’s speeches. I find this extremely creepy and suspicious since they appear to be so similar.
How would you feel if Trump actually became president? Would you be worried for our country because he has such a big ego and mocks many people instead of genuinely being concerned for our county? Or would you be relieved that we have such a straightforward businessman leading our country. I just hope that he can look inside his heart to accept our society and we don’t have another Hitler taking over our country. If Trump actually became president I would honestly be terrified.
