Rick and Morty Season 3 Preview
Rick and Morty is a whole mess of nonsense. It follows a teenager, Morty Smith, and his drunk, insane, sociopathic, scientist grandfather, Rick Sanchez, on their adventures all throughout the universe. This is great for fans of crude humour and people who love animated gore. Also, a warning, this show contains lots of crude language and innuendos, so it isn’t the best for those who are faint of heart, but if you love those things, then this show would be amazing for you. I’d recommend it for anyone who also has a feel for cartoons or like Adult Swim humor, as it is really pretty funny once you get further in, with Rick’s apathetic sarcasm and Morty’s panicky reactions to everything.
Season 3 has been announced for about a year, ever since the second episode of Season 2 came along, but they didn’t start production until recently. A tweet by Mike McMahan, a voice actor for the show, on February 18th showed that the production for Rick and Morty Episode 301 (which would be Season 3 Episode 1) had begun recording. The actual proof that they had begun writing was in December of 2015, when McMahan tweeted that they had begun writing. Based on the video of Mr. Poopybutthole (a character from the show who was believed dead), and what he said makes us believe that the season premiere won’t be released for another year-and-a-half from February.
We’ll just have to wait and see for the final announcement of when the premiere of Season 3 will air. For now, we’re stuck watching reruns of Season 1 and 2 while eating popcorn and pizza (as is recommended by Mr. Poopybutthole) and crying at the ending of Season 2.
