PRESS RELEASE – Today, March 31, 2020, at 2:00 pm there was a virtual BOE meeting to announce that the Superintendent for Aspen School District will be David Baugh and our very own AHS principal Tharyn Mulberry will be the Assistant Superintendent. Dr. Tom Heald will continue to serve as the Interim Superintendent until July 1, 2020.

David Baugh is currently still the Superintendent at Centennial School District in Philadelphia and was named Pennsylvania’s 2020 superintendent of the year. He has been described as having a positive impact on the community, teachers, families, students.

Tharyn Mulberry was acknowledged for his approachable style and his ability to achieve success for the students and staff at AHS. He will remain the principal at Aspen High School until the end of the 2020 school year. The search for a new principal will begin shortly.

The Aspen School District is fortunate to have such dedicated and devoted Superintendents. A huge congrats to David Baugh and Tharyn Mulberry on their great achievement and thank you to Tom Heald for the 12 years of hard work he has put into the Aspen School District.
