Open Forum Policy

The Skier Scribbler is a legally recognized public forum for student expression, is published six to eight times a year by the journalism class at Aspen High School.  The expression made by students in the exercise of freedom of speech or of freedom of the press is not an expression of the Aspen School District Board of Education.  The views expressed in the newspaper do not necessarily represent the views of the staff, adviser, Aspen High School administration, or the Aspen School District Administration.  Board policy regarding student publications (IGDB, IGDB-R) is available at the Aspen School District Superintendent’s office or at Aspen High School.

Letters to the Editor Policy

The Skier Scribbler welcomes and encourages letters to the editors.  This is a chance to express your viewpoint on important issues.  Letters should be less than 200 words. Letters will be edited for space and legal considerations, but not for inaccuracies, grammar, and spelling.  Letters must contain information pertinent to students of Aspen High School. The staff reserves the right to not publish any letter not meeting these requirements. Unsigned letters will not be published.  You can submit letters in person to the adviser ([email protected]), or by mail to Skier Scribbler Editor, 235 High School Road, Aspen, CO 81611.
