Colorado Summer Bucket List
Aspen is one of the most beautiful places in the world. With lush green mountainsides and roaring rivers, Aspen has so much to offer. However, it is also nice to venture out of this wonderful little town on occasion as well. This summer bucket list has interesting and fun activities locally, and in many other parts of Colorado. This list of 50 things to do will be a challenge to accomplish in a single Summer, but each one is sure to keep boredom at bay.
- Soak up the sun while floating down stillwater on inner-tubes.
- Get out the camping gear and spend a night at Difficult Campground.
- Bike up through miles of trees on the curved road all the way to the Maroon Bells.
- Journey down to the Mammoth Music Festival.
- Go to a Belly Up show.
- Lay down in the grass and enjoy the music at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival.
- Attend a Red Rocks show.
- Pack up and head to Moab to hike around and see the arches.
- Visit the Aspen Art Museum and enjoy the unique artwork.
- Picnic by the river at John Denver Park.
- Get up the courage to take a plunge into Devil’s Punchbowl.
- Hike at least 3 hikes on the Aspen Hiking Guide.
- Ride horses at T-Lazy 7 Ranch.
- Awe at the views while riding up the Gondola to enjoy a lunch at the Sundeck.
- Raft down the Roaring Fork River.

- Check out the Red Brick Arts Exhibition.
- Take a trip to Waterworld in Denver.
- Stretch out in a hot yoga class at Arjuna.
- Try a new workout and do some Pilates at O2 Aspen.
- Bike along the Rio Grande Trail either into town or down to Woody Creek.
- Go fly fishing with tips from Charlie.
- Explore the river and small trails behind Heron Park.

- Grab a sweet treat and some fresh fruits and vegetables at the Saturday Market.
- Have a blast tubing and playing in Lake Powell.
- Get your hands sticky while building a bonfire and roasting s’mores.
- Attempt to not scream while doing the freefall ride at Elitch Gardens in Denver.
- Visit the Denver Zoo.
- Go paragliding and enjoy the views of Aspen.
- Get up the courage to go skydiving.
- Take a tour through the Fairy Caves in Glenwood.
- Voyage down to the Glenwood Hot Springs and enjoy a day of fun and relaxation.
- Wander through the corn maze in the Denver Botanical Gardens.
- Have a bowling competition at Slopeside Lanes in Snowmass.
- Take in the waterfalls at Seven Falls in Colorado Springs.
- Take a ride on the Alpine Coaster at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park.
- Try the cheesy delights at the Aspen Mac and Cheese Fest.
- Hike to Crested Butte.
- Pull your way up a rock climbing route on Independence Pass.
- Do some arts and crafts at the Strawberry Days Festival in Glenwood Springs.
- Watch the parade down main street and nighttime fireworks on the 4th of July.
- Wander through the art and sculptures in the many galleries in Aspen.
- Enjoy the colors of the sunrise while riding in a hot air balloon.
- Hike up to Hanging Lake and take a swim.
- Hit some golf balls at the driving range at the Aspen Golf and Tennis Club.
- Take a cooking class at Mawa’s Kitchen.
- Drive to Ruedi and go tubing on the lake.
- Try not to flip while kayaking down the Roaring Fork River.
- Have fun following this bucket list and enjoy all of the wonders and beauty Colorado has to offer this summer!
