Stranger-er Things

If you like to be on the edge of your seat and have chills flowing through your body while watching a show, you’ll love “Stranger Things.” This new Netflix original series has been giving loads of people this feeling since it aired a few months back.  Releasing their first eight-episodes in July, they have definitely created a buzz. Because each episode is at least one hour long, it feels more like a mini-movie series. Trust me once you start the first episode, there’s no turning back.

“Stranger Things” has a terrifying sense of surprising mystery. It has so much to offer, with its horror and mystery tied together impeccably, it’s easily said to be the best drama series on Netflix, guaranteed to get your grip. And not to leave out, the casting is simply outstanding. Made up of mostly children, it’s interesting to see how they do with the overwhelming action that goes on during the show. They give the viewers a good sense of humor to watch and laugh along with. Although it’s a suspenseful show, the humor and horror coexist so well together. The events  surrounding the mystery are terrifying, sad, and sometimes even awful, but the humor that ties in allows you to laugh even though something terrible might be going on, which is why I think this show is such big hit. It’s hard to decide if you fell in love with the show because of the witty humor or the excitement that comes with keeping you on your toes. Nowadays it’s hard to balance these two things without getting the harsh criticism from those who don’t think they are meant to be put together, but in this case, they are perfectly calibrated.

The waiting games is on to find out what Season Two is going to bring to our sense of horror. As with all these kinds of shows, the internet rumor mill is on overdrive with pieces of information flying around. Although you can almost never trust the internet, it is suspected that the show will release its second season in June of 2017, bringing us a whole new story to crave and new characters to love.
