New Year’s Eve Fireworks

December: The snow dumps and clumps and falls. Children run and pack Frosty the Snowman in their backyard. Adults gather around the stocking covered fireplace and spend time warmed by hot cocoa with friends and family. Aspen’s mall glitters in white overhead lights, the trees draped in yellow. It’s the holiday season, and with such an incredible home as we have, it’s a lovely time to immerse yourself in the winter culture of Aspen. The following is a list of events for families; attend those that appeal.

December 1:

Aspen Art Museum Winter Exhibitions open.

EOTO will perform at Belly Up. $22 a ticket to listen to great electronic music.

December 2-3:

Summit for Life begins with a fundraising dinner, and continues on into the next day. Music, cocktails, dinners, yoga and the race will follow all for a great cause.

December 4:

The 32nd Annual Sardy House Christmas Tree Lighting: hot chocolate, cookies, good music, and a spectacular tree lighting.  

December 5:

Monday Docs at the Wheeler will show Adventure Shorts. Get your adrenaline pumping!

December 6:

The sixth has a few events planned: The Aspen Historical Society with have a Holiday Book Signing and Bazaar, it is Birding with ACES, and also Colorado Gives Day.

December 8:

Olaf the Elf Visits Hallam Lake ACES; great for kids and families

12 Days of Aspen: The town features a ton of fun activities for families and kids spread throughout the 12 days such as free ice skating, caroling, holiday treats, fireworks and more all to enjoy the winter wonderland of our little town.
