Go back to school with these hot fashion trends

Going back to school without a new wardrobe could be like the rest of the world’s confused reaction to Kylie Jenner having a child. Keeping up with fashion trends sets you apart from other classmates. Use your personal style as an advantage. I use my style to express my personality, and I get my inspiration from the famous 90s movie Clueless and 70s fashion trends. Fashion can be a fantastic way to boost your confidence and inspire others. When discovering your style, be unique. Below are some of my favorite fashion trends for the new school year:

1. Platform Sneakers

If you’re planning to add some height to your frame this school year, platform sneakers are the perfect way to keep to keep it casual. Fila Disruptors or Buffalo London sneakers make you look like a baddie while being comfortable at the same time.

  1. Plaid

Plaid is back in style, especially yellow plaid (like Cher’s iconic outfit from Clueless). If you want to add some color or a unique pattern to your everyday outfit, plaid is the perfect way to jazz up your daily white t-shirt. Pair a white t-shirt with plaid pants for a super cute look!

  1. Harem Pants

When I think of harem pants, I think of those casual bohemian style pants which were so popular in the late 90s and early 2000s. Today, harem style pants are high fashion streetwear that boosts any casual outfit.

  1. D-ring Belts

During the 90s, D-ring belts were a must-have. A casual pair of boyfriend jeans can be completely revolutionized when paired with a vibrant D-ring belt. They transform your look from casual to cool in just a few seconds.

  1. Tiny/ Retro Glasses

This bizarre and cute fashion trend has been a hit all summer and is carrying itself into the school year. Tiny glasses are a great way to complete any outfit, making it seem vintage. Add a pair of colorful glasses to any outfit to spice it up.

Creating your own unique style takes time. Using some of the current trends can help you find your own style and inspiration. Some of my favorite fashion icons have to be Cher Horowitz from Clueless, Ariana Grande, Emma Chamberlain, Kelsey Calemine, and Madelaine Rose. Social media can also be an amazing place to find fashion inspiration. There are hundreds of fashion inspirations out there, so you just need to find one that is similar to your style. Being comfortable in your own skin is so important while being in high school. Always remember, be true to yourself and your personality.
