Local Coffee House is known for its locally grown food and coffee, and now a club has been opened in connection to the cafe as a serviced sitting area for those who want to work and enjoy their coffee.

Located on East Cooper  Avenue, next to Messaluna Here House opened in September 2019. Due to the staggering population of those working at home in Aspen, it is seen as beneficial to get out of the house. It can be seen as an office.

Rocky Kroeger, a local Aspen resident that goes to Here House almost every day. “For me, although I wish I could work from home, I do better when I force myself to think about work and going here house puts me in more of a focused state of mind and it is much easier to make phone calls and do things when you have a focus,” said Kroeger

The baseline price to become a member is $200 a month. If you are under 35 years old or make under 45,000, it is $115 a month. Additional perks are included with a membership.

Shenna Richardson, a project manager, is helping at the Here House by setting up memberships, to planning events.

The additional perks as a member is that “You get table service from a Local Coffee house, member events such as movie nights, day lockers, communal bikes, noise-canceling headphones,” said Richarson.

The hours are great for long days of working from 7am-6pm, but the owners hope to stay open later soon from 6pm-10pm.

The reason for opening is simple “Making a new community with people around the valley. Space to meet new people and bounce off each other’s ideas. There is a board room great for meetings and get-togethers with large groups. Lastly, it’s great for group projects to have a big group of people and still be able to talk,”  said Richarson.

Rocky’s explanation for going is simple “It is a great, inexpensive way to both get worked on and network with interesting people. So far, it has exceeded my expectations and I think that is because of the incredible work by the owners to make it a special experience.”

There are 80 members signed up currently, and there is only going to be more.

“The maximum capacity is 40 sitting and 80 standing. It’s a great place to hold private events,” said Richarson.

Students are welcome to come and to do work and still stay relaxed.

“It’s a place where our members can come to interact, come unwind, eat, connect with people and get work done,” said Richarson.
