Alphas were born at a very young age. From what they can remember, they have always been Alphas. People say being an “Alpha” is just a vague image assumed by insecure people who have trouble identifying with their aura. That is being the ‘B’ word; beta.
Being an Alpha isn’t a choice. No one talks about the hardships of being the main character in a movie that isn’t being filmed. Alpha’s day doesn’t start with ‘good morning’, it starts with: “greetings and salutations, glorious Alpha.”
Being a natural-born masterpiece is, frankly, a nightmare. When Alphas possess this level of unprovoked aesthetic excellence, the sheer weight of being everyone’s favorite visual landmark is draining. They have to maintain a facial structure that looks like it was carved by an ancient Greek sculptor.
Essentially, Alphas have to mog 24/7. Honestly, being that physically attractive and incredible is really overwhelming. They can’t even walk past a tinted car window without accidentally getting trapped in a five-minute stare-down with their own reflection, purely out of self respect. It is physically draining to carry around a jawline that could legitimately be used to slice artisan sourdough, and frankly, their necks are tired from supporting the weight of their own aura.
Being an Alpha is basically a fancy museum exhibit that’s been forced to commute on public transit, and the pressure to remain “spotless and perfect” while eating a messy burrito is a human rights violation.
Then there’s the burden of confidence. It is genuinely exhausting to be perfectly correct about everything all the time. Alpha’s have to project an aura of total certainty even when they are internally debating if they should have had the spicy ramen for lunch. Being the “main character” means Alphas don’t get a day off; it’s hard work being this iconic, but we Alphas suppose someone has to do it.
A daily affirmation all Alphas have memorized is, “I don’t just enter a room, I colonize it with my aura, and whoever tries to say otherwise is a beta.”
And remember, an Alpha’s aura will never be affected by a beta’s judgment. Being an Alpha is truly an honor that they all carry, and even though they live a very intense lifestyle, only a beta would complain about what an Alpha has to live through.
