Hike Maroon Bells
Maroon Bells is known for being one of the most spectacular places to see the fall colors in the United States. Its pristine snow-dusted peaks reflect onto Maroon Lake, perfect for any photo. Bring a picnic, a camera, and your best hiking shoes to see the stunning autumn leaves Aspen has to offer.

Drive/Bike Independence Pass

At the end of September through early October, the fall leaves shine the brightest up Independence Pass. Not only is it a breathtaking drive that connects you to the Continental Divide, Twin Lakes, and Leadville, but it also allows you to take in an amazing view of the Roaring Fork Valley. Biking or driving, Independence pass sure won’t disappoint!

ACES Harvest Party @ Rock Bottom Ranch, October 12

Join ACES (Aspen Center for Environmental Studies) at Rock Bottom Ranch on October 12. There will be a pumpkin patch, pumpkin carving, face painting, ranch games, and pony rides. You can learn how to make apple cider and visit cute farm animals! The food is sponsored by Crystal River Meats and Whole Foods. Make sure to grab your tickets soon!

Ute Cemetery Tours – October 19, 26, 27 @ 5:30 PM

A guided walk through Aspen’s first cemetery tells the stories of the Ute City, now called Aspen. This guided tour perfectly sets the Halloween mood. Educational, entertaining, and reflective, this cemetery tour will leave you feeling knowledgeable about the history of Aspen.

Boo! Bash

The Boo Bash is an annual activity that takes place on October 31 (Halloween) at the Aspen Fire Station. This activity includes free snacks, painting, clowns, games, art activities, and more! Make sure to come dressed in your costume for prizes (kids and adults). Time to be determined.
