Aspen Goes Abroad

It’s the first day in Rome and from these well-known Spanish steps, tourists can see the city center and the capital of Rome. (Maddie McAllister)
The view of the pristine and holy Vatican in Vatican City; aka the smallest country in the world. Vatican City is in the center of Rome but is labeled its own country, this is also where Pope Francis lives and speaks to the city for a mass every Sunday. (Maddie McAllister)

One of the most important stops in Greece is the Parthenon in Athens. One is able to see the ruins of a once-populated kingdom and able to see the almost undamaged temple of Nike. On the edge of the Parthenon, you’re able to see the entire city with just one shot. (Maddie McAllister)
The first Olympic stadium stands in nearly pristine condition in Olympia Greece. It’s open for tours every day and once in a while, the stadium lights turn on and light up the town center. (Maddie McAllister)

Cruising back or cruising away from the ship you’re able to see the beautiful dark blue water lighting up as the transport ships create wakes in the sea. While on that transport ship, one is able to see the beautiful mountaintop island of Santorini. (Maddie McAllister)
One of the most popular and well-known stops on the Greek island cruise tour is Santorini. The island is known for its blue circular roofs and pristine white buildings, here one is able to tour the entire island on just one road. (Maddie McAllister)
The perfect time to smell the crisp ocean air is while you’re on a cruise ship. You’re able to sit and eat a delicious buffet while enjoying a beautiful sunset. (Maddie McAllister)
One must experience a beach day on the island of Rhodes. The crystal blue and clear water is incredibly refreshing, but be careful, the rocks are quite hot! (Maddie McAllister)

This was the first quarter-mile running field for the Olympics. Tourists are still able to view and run on this infamous field and experience how long this run truly is. (Maddie McAllister)

The infamous Parthenon is glowing with the early morning sunrise. Although it would be incredible to see this structure without the reinforcement bars, one may never be able to. The beams are the only thing keeping this structure standing as tall as it is. (Maddie McAllister)
This small open theatre was known for its dramatic shows in the early 10th century B.C… Famous artists still play at this stadium but without microphones. The echo is so loud that even ones voice can shake the theatre. (Maddie McAllister)
This crystal clear blue day with views of islands in the distance is one to see. The feel of the wind in your hair and the wake of the ship in the back is something so relaxing and soothing. A feeling one could never forget. (Maddie McAllister)
